As Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month comes to a close, we have been proud to feature our programs that exemplify this year’s theme: “We’re Here: Then, Now, Always”. Our Urban Farm is another of our programs that make this true for us.
Fresh produce from Ada S. McKinley’s Urban Farm is cultivated by participants in our programs serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The farm provides hands-on learning in a therapeutic environment and offers a practical and healthy way to provide workforce training and career opportunities.
