We are extremely grateful to Wartburg College for establishing the Ada S. McKinley Scholarship to increase college access for low-income first-generation students. Wartburg has a 97% success rate amongst its graduates and an 82% acceptance rate to medical school (twice the national average). Ada S. McKinley has placed more than 75,000 African American youth in more than 400 colleges and universities throughout the United States, many of whom have been first-generation students. We value this key partnership with Wartburg College as we continue to increase the number of students attending and completing college. A special thanks to Kristin Taphorn, Wartburg’s Regional Assistant Director of Admissions.
