Head Start & Early Learning

Ada S. McKinley’s Child Development Programs include Head Start and Early Head Start services for children from birth to age 5, and partnerships with established child care programs throughout our communities. We provide comprehensive services to each child based on the specific needs and goals each family has identified.  Contact Us About Enrolling Your Child

We have modified our delivery of services as necessary to adhere to social distancing guidelines during the pandemic.  Our COVID-19 Resource and Support Guide details the full range of resources and supports we are offering during the pandemic, and other opportunities we have discovered through our peers and networks.

What we offer

Infant Care

Our infant programs provide responsive caregiving in a safe, nurturing and welcoming environment. We strive to make the transition from home to child care as smooth and comfortable as possible for both child and family. Our teachers have been trained specifically in infant needs and care, and learning activities are embedded in daily routines.

Toddler Care

Our toddler programs provide a safe, nurturing and welcoming environment where children can explore, discover and learn under careful supervision. We provide age and developmentally appropriate activities and experiences where toddlers naturally learn through play.

Pre-School

Our Pre-K programs are child-centered, based on their natural curiosity and interests, as we nurture their advancement in pre-academia. It is our goal that each child leaves our program as life-long learners, with a solid foundation for success in school and beyond.
