As Asian Pacific American Heritage Month begins to conclude, we are proud to cheer on one of the people we serve as he performed at Chicago’s Asian American Month Celebration in Chinatown. Paul Yee attends our Community Day Service Program for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and has performed every weekend this month for the festivities in Chinatown. He is the lead dancer as Head of the Dragon, an honor in Asian culture representing supernatural power, wisdom, strength, and hidden knowledge. Paul has been a valuable educator to his peers and our program staff through his musical performances and sharing information on events honoring Asian heritage.
