Thanks to help from enthusiastic volunteers and donors, we will be providing 150 college trunks to students who have earned acceptance into college this fall. The trunks are filled with school supplies and necessities for dorm living, along with technology tools (laptops, etc).
Students receiving the trunks are graduates from our target Chicago Public Schools where we begin guiding them in exploring careers and preparing for college as early as middle school.
The program was trailblazed by Revie Sorey, retired Chicago Bear and our former Educational Services Director, to help college-bound seniors with expenses not covered by grants and scholarships.
