“It is not a home put together for someone to come live in – it is a home for women with intellectual disabilities and it is giving them an opportunity for choice and freedom.”
– Oladimeji Olokun, Vice President of Community Support Services at Ada S. McKinley
Today marked the opening of our new eight-bedroom residential home for women with disabilities in support of their freedom and independence. This new home is a one of 12 residential homes operated by Ada S. McKinley as part of its Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) program. NBC 5 Chicago and reporter Regina Waldroup joined us on location at the South Chicago neighborhood home for this joyful moment.
