We are proud to introduce Charles Morgan, the 2020 Trace Sorey Music Scholarship recipient. A fourth-year student at VanderCook College of Music, Charles began playing piano when he was a freshman at Kenwood Academy High School. Despite the late start, Charles has received ten gold or first place medals from various competitions. Upon graduation, he will be K-12 Certified and qualified to teach band, choir, orchestra, or general music at any level. He plans to teach while pursuing a master’s and possibly a doctorate in conducting, music education, or piano performance.
