We are excited to be a sponsor for Late Night Basketball this summer! The kick-off event took place at Washington Park during the Juneteenth and Father’s Day weekend.
Late Night Basketball (also known as “Late Night Ball” or “Midnight Madness”) is a city-sponsored initiative designed to provide a safe, free, and positive environment for youth and adults.
The events are held primarily in the summer and on major holiday weekends during high-risk evening hours to prevent violence in communities most impacted by crime. The initiative prioritizes structured mentorship, life-skills training, and brotherhood to uplift at-risk youth. Participants enjoy free entry, basketball, video game stations, a live DJ, and free food.
Upcoming Late Night Basketball events with registration info can be found by visiting the Chicago Park District Calendar.
