A round of applause for the third Graduating Class of our IT Training Program. The 16-week course is part of an ongoing collaboration with Hikima Cyber Security Academy to help individuals with and without disabilities qualify for cyber security and general IT employment opportunities. The graduation ceremony also served as a career fair and networking event to support students ages 17 to 24 in obtaining careers in IT paying $60k or more.
Graduates participated in one-on-one mock interviews with actual recruiters and provided their resumes. Our CEO Jamal Malone and other potential employers came out to speak about their experience and network with them as part of our effort to fast-track students into cyber security jobs.
Major shout-out to the employers that came out to speak with graduates about their experience, network, and share opportunities: Chicago Board of Options Exchange; Dele8; and City Schools of Chicago.
