Our Educational Services team hosted the From the Classroom to the Boardroom MVP Luncheon to celebrate and accelerate the achievements of young men who have worked through adverse social and economic barriers to pursue their academic goals.

Students had lunch and engaged in productive dialogue with our CEO Jamal Malone and other business leaders to discuss life, opportunities for young black men, and the challenges all leaders face on the road to achieving success. Participants received tips for rising above adverse circumstances that put their academic success in jeopardy, and delivered elevator speeches presenting their interests, career goals, and college plans.

Thank you to the professionals who joined Jamal for this critical effort to provide guidance and hope to our promising young men: marketing specialist Mike Charles, II; technology specialist Herbert Edwards; Dr. William Johnson, Assistant Regional Superintendent of Lake County Schools and an alum of our Educational Services program; and Ron Otocki, Partner/Principal at PwC and a member of our board of directors.
