How long have you been working with Ada S. McKinley?
“2.5 years.”
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
“The most rewarding part of my job is seeing, in real-time, the shift in our youth once they realize that their educational goals are not only realistic, but also attainable.”
What makes you proud to work with Ada S. McKinley?
“I am proud to be part of an agency whose impact can be felt far and wide. Rarely, if ever, am I able to mention the name Ada S. McKinley without hearing anecdotes from people who have benefited from one or more of the services we provide.”
What is something that you’ve learned while working as an educator?
“Over the course of a nearly twenty-year career in education, I have learned that everyone has the ability to learn and you can learn from anyone.”
What is one piece of advice would you give to a person who is new to the education field?
“I would encourage anyone who is entering into the education field to always remain curious and to be open to information, perspectives, and ways of doing things outside of your own knowledge base and comfort zones.”
What is one fun fact about yourself?
“I am an avid crafter and handywoman.”
