Learn more about Cherrell in this short interview:

What is the most rewarding part of your job?
“The most rewarding part of my job is seeing the persons served enjoy themselves and have fun.”

What is something that you’ve learned while working as a DSP?
“Something that I’ve learned while working as a DSP is to not just assume things about the persons served. Try things with them, ask questions, and have patience. It’s a great way to build a solid foundation of trust and friendship.”

What is one piece of advice would you give to a person who is new to the field?
“Find unique and fun ways to connect with the people you serve. You’ll enjoy it and they will too!”

What makes you proud to work with Ada S. McKinley?
“Being able to connect with and learn about the people we serve and their unique and different personalities. I also enjoy how we are able to plan and participate in events, outings, and other activities with them.”

What is one fun fact about yourself?
“I love art. I love to express my creative abilities through painting, poetry, music and many other different forms of art.”

Thank you for all you do, Cherrell!
