In Cook County alone, there are over 6,000 children in Foster Care. Biological parents are not always able to provide safe or consistent care to their children for many reasons. This is where wonderful, loving families like yours come into play. Opening your home to a child in need is one of the most impactful choices you can make, whether you’re an empty nester looking to pour into another child, single parent, or you are a family looking to expand their love. We at Ada S. McKinley value and understand the importance of healthy attachments and support, not just for the child, but for you, and your entire family. We understand that families come in all shapes and forms. Our team works together to respect the uniqueness of all family systems.
Ada S. McKinley provides the training, guidance, therapeutic resources, and support to all families making this loving and courageous choice. We are involved for every step of the fostering process to ensure success for everyone.

Our Child Welfare Team is dedicated to connecting families. Fostering may seem intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. We have staff available to meet and discuss the process with potential Foster Parents on evenings and weekends. Our Foster Care Office is located at 7640 S.
