The fresh produce that will be provided at this pop-up will be from Ada S. McKinley’s Urban Farm, created by and for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Ada S. McKinley Urban Farm empowers individuals to achieve self-reliance, economic independence, and personal growth while promoting healthy eating habits. Through hands-on learning in a therapeutic environment, participants gain the skills needed to maintain a farm — a practical and healthy way to provide workforce training and career opportunities. Beyond personal development, they take pride in contributing to a larger community effort to address food insecurity and expand access to affordable, nutritious food in urban areas.
