Each year, Ada S. McKinley award its students with off-to-college trunks filled with things they will need to reach success in their new environment (desk supplies, bedding and linens, electronics, etc.)  Spearheaded and named in honor of Revie Sorey, former Ada S. McKinley division director and former Chicago Bear, the Trunk Scholarships are an important extension of Ada S. McKinley’s College Preparation Program which has placed more than 65,000 youth in more than 400 colleges and universities throughout the United States over the last 40 years, and obtained $16.8 million in scholarships for them in 2017.  The Trunk Scholarships are made possible by annual sponsors and community partnerships.  Learn more about the program through this video feature.
