Ada S. McKinley Community Services, Inc. Elects
New Board President
Chicago, Illinois--Municipal
law powerhouse attorney Stanley L. Hill recently was elected Board
President of Ada S. McKinley Community Services, Inc. A board member
since 1996, Hill, formerly first vice president, also chairs Ada
S. McKinley's Governmental Affairs Committee. Hill is the fourth
board president to head the 85-year-old agency.
"Stanley has played a significant role in the agency's growth in the nine years he has been a board member," said George Jones Jr., Ada S. McKinley Community Services' executive director. "As chairman of the Governmental Affairs Committee, Hill has been the leading force in directing McKinley's board of directors in their advocacy efforts which directly affect the lives of more than 12,000 individuals and families served annually."
Hill, 54, of Chicago, began his law profession as a Cook County Assistant State's Attorney. He also worked for Woodlawn Criminal Defense Services, the Criminal Defense Consortium of Cook County, and was a partner at Williams, Rux, Hill & Whitfield of Chicago before starting his own law firm, Stanley L. Hill & Associates, P.C., in 1980.
Hill has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Medill School of Journalism, Northwestern University, and a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Hill is a member of the trustee Board of the Morning Star Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoys sailing and scuba diving with his wife, Edith, a school teacher, and two sons, Stanley II and Nicholas. He is vice commodore at the Jackson Park Yacht Club and is an avid skier and golfer.
